19 But Peter and John answered and[a] said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than God, you decide! 20 For we are not able to refrain from speaking about the things that we have seen and heard.” 21 So after[b] threatening them[c] further, they released them, finding no way to punish them on account of the people, because they were all praising God for what had happened.
