Perilous Times

15 “Therefore when you see the (A)abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in (B)the holy place—[a](C)let the [b]reader understand— 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 [c]Whoever is on (D)the [d]housetop must not go down to get things out of his house. 18 And [e]whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But (E)woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 Moreover, pray that [f]when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a (F)great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no [g]life would have been saved; but for (G)the sake of the [h]elect those days will be cut short. 23 (H)Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the [i]Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him.

Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there [a]she would be nourished for (A)1,260 days.

The Angel, Michael

And there was war in heaven, (B)Michael and his angels waging war with the (C)dragon. The dragon and (D)his angels waged war, and they did not prevail, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great (E)dragon was thrown down, the (F)serpent of old who is called the devil and (G)Satan, who (H)deceives the whole [b]world; he was (I)thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 Then I heard (J)a loud voice in heaven, saying,

“Now the (K)salvation, and the power, and the (L)kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the (M)accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they (N)overcame him because of (O)the blood of the Lamb and because of (P)the word of their testimony, and they (Q)did not love their life even [c]when faced with death. 12 For this reason, (R)rejoice, you heavens and (S)you who dwell in them. (T)Woe to the earth and the sea, because (U)the devil has come down to you with great wrath, knowing that he has only (V)a short time.”

13 And when the (W)dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted (X)the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the (Y)two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly (Z)into the wilderness to her place, where she *was nourished for (AA)a time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent.
