⁸ Then that lawless one ^(A)will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate ^(B)with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the ^(C)appearance of His ^[a]coming; ⁹ that is, the one whose ^[b]coming is in accord with the activity of ^(D)Satan, with all power and false ^[c](E)signs and wonders, ¹⁰ and with ^[d]all the deception of wickedness for ^(F)those who perish, because they did not accept the love of ^(G)the truth so as to be saved. ¹¹ For this reason ^(H)God ^[e]will send upon them ^[f]a ^(I)deluding influence so that they will believe ^[g]what is false,

A New Heaven and Earth

¹⁰ But ^(A)the day of the Lord ^(B)will come like a thief, in which ^(C)the heavens ^(D)will pass away with a roar and the ^(E)elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and ^(F)the earth and ^[a]its works will be ^[b]discovered.

¹⁶ And they ^(A)gathered them together to the place which ^(B)in Hebrew is called ^(C)Har-Magedon.

The Seventh Bowl of Wrath

¹⁷ Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon ^(D)the air, and a ^(E)loud voice came out of the ^[a](F)temple from the throne, saying, “^(G)It is done.” ¹⁸ And there were flashes of ^(H)lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was ^(I)a great earthquake, ^(J)such as there had not been since mankind came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. ^19 (K)The great city ^[b]was split into three parts, and the cities of the ^[c]nations fell. ^(L)Babylon the great was ^(M)remembered in the sight of God, to give her ^(N)the cup of the wine of ^[d]His fierce wrath. ²⁰ And ^(O)every island fled, and no mountains were found. ²¹ And ^(P)huge ^[e]hailstones, weighing about ^[f]a talent each, *came down from heaven upon people; and people ^(Q)blasphemed God because of the ^(R)plague of the hail, because ^[g]the hailstone plague *was extremely ^[h]severe.

¹¹ The beast which ^(A)was, and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he ^(B)goes to destruction. ¹² The ^(C)ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast ^(D)for one hour. ¹³ These have ^(E)one ^[a]purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast.

Victory for the Lamb

¹⁴ These will wage ^(F)war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will ^(G)overcome them because He is ^(H)Lord of lords and ^(I)King of kings; and ^(J)those who are with Him are the ^(K)called and chosen and faithful.”

¹⁵ And he *said to me, “The ^(L)waters which you saw where the prostitute sits are ^(M)peoples and multitudes, and nations and languages. ¹⁶ And the ^(N)ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her ^(O)desolate and ^(P)naked, and will ^(Q)eat her flesh and will ^(R)burn her up with fire. ¹⁷ For ^(S)God has put it in their hearts to execute His ^[b]purpose ^[c]by ^(T)having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the ^(U)words of God will be fulfilled. ¹⁸ The woman whom you saw is ^(V)the great city, which ^[d]reigns over the kings of the earth.”

The Coming of Christ

¹¹ And I saw ^(A)heaven opened, and behold, a ^(B)white horse, and He who sat on it is called ^(C)Faithful and True, and in ^(D)righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His ^(E)eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many ^(F)crowns; and He has a ^(G)name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. ¹³ He is clothed with a ^(H)robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(I)The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in ^(J)fine linen, ^(K)white and clean, were following Him on white horses. ^15 (L)From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that ^(M)with it He may strike down the nations, and He will ^[a](N)rule them with a rod of iron; and ^(O)He treads the ^[b]wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ And on His robe and on His thigh He has ^(P)a name written: “^(Q)KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

¹⁷ Then I saw ^[c]an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to ^(R)all the birds that fly in ^(S)midheaven, “^(T)Come, assemble for the great feast of God, ¹⁸ so that you may ^(U)eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, ^(V)both free and slaves, and ^(W)small and great.”

¹⁹ And I saw ^(X)the beast and ^(Y)the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who ^(Z)sat on the horse, and against His army.

Doom of the Beast and False Prophet

²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with him the ^(AA)false prophet who ^(AB)performed the signs ^[d](AC)in his presence, by which he ^(AD)deceived those who had received the ^(AE)mark of the beast and those who ^(AF)worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the ^(AG)lake of ^(AH)fire, which burns with ^[e]brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were killed with the sword which ^(AI)came from the mouth of Him who ^(AJ)sat on the horse, and ^(AK)all the birds were filled with their flesh.
