^9 (A)The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but ^(B)is patient toward you, ^(C)not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

A New Heaven and Earth

¹⁰ But ^(D)the day of the Lord ^(E)will come like a thief, in which ^(F)the heavens ^(G)will pass away with a roar and the ^(H)elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and ^(I)the earth and ^[a]its works will be ^[b]discovered.

⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon ^(A)the sun, ^(B)and it was given power to scorch people with fire. ⁹ And the people were scorched with ^[a]fierce heat; and they ^(C)blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they ^(D)did not repent so as to ^(E)give Him glory.

¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the ^(F)throne of the beast, and his kingdom became ^(G)darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, ¹¹ and they ^(H)blasphemed the ^(I)God of heaven because of their pain and their ^(J)sores; and they ^(K)did not repent of their deeds.
