²⁵ After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.^(A)

⁵³ They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and^[a] went into the holy city^(A) and appeared to many people.

¹⁴ Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”^(A)

⁴⁴ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen,^(A) and a cloth around his face.^(B)

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

³⁵ Women received back their dead, raised to life again.^(A) There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.
