The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven^(A)

18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

³ And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children,^(A) you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.^(B)

⁴ Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.^(A)

²⁵ Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.

²⁶ Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,^(A)

¹¹ The greatest among you will be your servant.^(A)

¹² For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.^(A)
