They thrust the needy(A) from the path

Like wild donkeys(D) in the desert,
    the poor go about their labor(E) of foraging food;
    the wasteland(F) provides food for their children.
They gather fodder(G) in the fields
    and glean in the vineyards(H) of the wicked.(I)
Lacking clothes, they spend the night naked;
    they have nothing to cover themselves in the cold.(J)
They are drenched(K) by mountain rains
    and hug(L) the rocks for lack of shelter.(M)
The fatherless(N) child is snatched(O) from the breast;
    the infant of the poor is seized(P) for a debt.(Q)
10 Lacking clothes, they go about naked;(R)
    they carry the sheaves,(S) but still go hungry.
