²⁵ Then Abraham complained to Abimelek about a well of water that Abimelek’s servants had seized.^(A)

²¹ Then they dug another well, but they quarreled^(A) over that one also; so he named it Sitnah.^[a]

²² He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth,^[a](A) saying, “Now the Lord has given us room^(B) and we will flourish^(C) in the land.”

¹⁶ Now a priest of Midian^(A) had seven daughters, and they came to draw water^(B) and fill the troughs^(C) to water their father’s flock.
