⁵ Then he sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings^(A) and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings^(B) to the Lord. ⁶ Moses^(C) took half of the blood^(D) and put it in bowls, and the other half he splashed^(E) against the altar. ⁷ Then he took the Book of the Covenant^(F) and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”^(G)

⁸ Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people^(H) and said, “This is the blood of the covenant^(I) that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

³⁸ “This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day:^(A) two lambs a year old. ³⁹ Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.^{(B) 40} With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah^[a] of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin^[b] of oil^(C) from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.^{(D) 41} Sacrifice the other lamb at twilight^(E) with the same grain offering^(F) and its drink offering as in the morning—a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.

⁴² “For the generations to come^(G) this burnt offering is to be made regularly^(H) at the entrance to the tent of meeting,^(I) before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you;^(J)

²⁴ He placed the lampstand^(A) in the tent of meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle ²⁵ and set up the lamps^(B) before the Lord, as the Lord commanded^(C) him.

²⁶ Moses placed the gold altar^(D) in the tent of meeting in front of the curtain ²⁷ and burned fragrant incense on it, as the Lord commanded^(E) him.

²⁸ Then he put up the curtain^(F) at the entrance to the tabernacle. ²⁹ He set the altar^(G) of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it burnt offerings and grain offerings,^(H) as the Lord commanded^(I) him.
