²⁹ Penalties are prepared for mockers,
    and beatings for the backs of fools.^(A)

²⁰ The ruthless^(A) will vanish,^(B)
    the mockers^(C) will disappear,
    and all who have an eye for evil^(D) will be cut down—

⁶⁴ Pay them back what they deserve, Lord,
    for what their hands have done.^(A)
65 Put a veil over their hearts,^(B)
    and may your curse be on them!
⁶⁶ Pursue^(C) them in anger and destroy them
    from under the heavens of the Lord.
