² With all my resources I have provided for the temple of my God—gold^(A) for the gold work, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron and wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings, turquoise,^[a](B) stones of various colors, and all kinds of fine stone and marble—all of these in large quantities.^(C)

³ Besides, in my devotion to the temple of my God I now give my personal treasures of gold and silver for the temple of my God, over and above everything I have provided^(A) for this holy temple:

¹⁴ “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?^(A) Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.^(B)

¹⁶ Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you.

Treasures in Heaven^(A)

¹⁹ “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,^(B) where moths and vermin destroy,^(C) and where thieves break in and steal.

²⁰ But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,^(A) where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.^(B)

⁴⁴ They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”^(A)

³³ Sell your possessions and give to the poor.^(A) Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven^(B) that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.^(C)

²² When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor,^(A) and you will have treasure in heaven.^(B) Then come, follow me.”
