Amos 8:4-6

New American Standard Bible

“When will the ^(B)new moon ^[b]be over,
So that we may sell grain;
And the ^(C)Sabbath, so that we may open the wheat market,
To make the ^[c]ephah smaller and the ^[d]shekel bigger,
And to ^(D)cheat with dishonest scales,
⁶ So as to ^(E)buy the helpless for ^[e]money,
And the needy for a pair of sandals,
And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”
